What is BASIC?

Wild at Heart BASIC is Wild at Heart Boot Camp led by John Eldredge and his team through video session in your local area.

Why do I need BASIC?

A man needs a deeper understanding of why these longings govern him—and why God made him just like that. And he needs a deeper understanding of why women long to be fought for, to be swept up into adventure, and to be the beauty.

What if? What if those deep desires in our hearts are telling us the truth, revealing to us the lives we were meant to live? God gave us eyes so that we might see; he gave us ears that we might hear; he gave us wills that we might choose; and he gave us hearts that we might live. The way we handle the heart is everything. A man must know he is powerful; he must know he has what it takes.

This is not a retreat about the “seven things a man ought to do to be a nicer guy.” It is a four-day quest into the recovery of a man’s masculine soul, the release of a man’s heart—his passions and his true nature—all given him by God. It’s an invitation to rush the fields at Bannockburn, to go West, to leap from the falls and save the beauty. For if a man is going to know who he truly is as a man, if he is going to find a life worth living, love a woman deeply, and not pass on his confusion to his children, he simply must get his heart back.

What is the Becoming a King Retreat?

The Becoming a King Retreat is a transformational men’s event delived through video session. Interactive story groups and private reflection times, immerse you in this transforming message.

Why do I need the Becoming a King Retreat?

Every boy knows he was made to be powerful. Yet the headlines often confirm what we know too well from our own stories: the anguished consequences of masculine power gone awry.

The Becoming a King Retreat provides a sacred context to explore the path and process of becoming transformed men God can gladly entrust with power and the care of his Kingdom. During this experience, you will have the opportunity to pull back 50 yards from the pressures of the front lines, explore and share your story, carefully identify and tend to your wounds, recover what makes you come alive, rekindle curiosity, joy, and hope, and strengthen your soul for the seasons ahead within a multi-generational masculine environment that connects older, wiser guides with men who thirst for pervasive transformation.

The Father Heart of God is pursuing you, inviting you to become the man you were created to be.

Receive the good news: you are not alone, and it’s not up to you. All you have to do is say yes and dive in. .

WHAT OTHER MEN ARE SAYING

“It is impossible to relay the impact both this book and program have in a short testimonial. This is a journey looking deep into the hearts’ of men. Reading the book is one thing but sharing the journey with other men at an in-person retreat takes it to a whole new level. I have personally witnessed many men see their lives transformed having read this book and attended the program… Do yourself, your wife and your family a favor by attending this event at Cragmont.” – Rick

“Basic has been the launchpad that brought me to a greater understanding of who He is, what He’s doing on earth, and my role in the greater story that He is telling. It was shocking how quickly my eyes were opened, and I realized all the truths I read about in scripture were playing out in front of me, that I previously did not have the perspective to recognize. As a result, everything it has stirred in me a greater passion for prayer, for His Word, and for joining with other men to fight for their hearts, to redeem what has been lost and broken.” – John

I can’t lie. I was nervous at first because it was out of my comfort zone, even though I loved the Lord. Being honest with y’all, when I first pulled up seeing the men on the porch and the surrounding grounds I thought I was in the wrong place… Didn’t know that those men would open my eyes and heart to the real mission of Jesus. The men… really opened my eyes and heart to the passion of loving and wanting to know the Lord. Going through the different teaching sessions and quite times to reflect really was a blessing.
I really hope you take the leap of faith and attend the Wild at Heart
retreat because it well change your life. – Moses
